Dementia describes a collection of symptoms that are caused by disorders affecting the brain. It is not one specific disease.Its a condition that causes problems with thinking and memory. It’s important to understand the different types so he can get the right kind of treatment.

Symptoms Of DEMENTIA :
Dementia can happen to anybody, but it is more common after the age of 65 years. People in their 40s and 50s can also have it.

- Progressive and frequent memory loss

- Apathy and withdrawal

Causes Of DEMENTIA :
It is caused by damage to brain cells.When brain cells cannot communicate normally, thinking, behavior and feelings can be affected. Most changes in the brain that cause dementia are permanent and worsen over time, thinking and memory problems caused by the following conditions may improve when the condition is treated or addressed:
- Medication side effects
- Excess use of alcohol
- Thyroid problems
- Vitamin deficiencies

Cure Of DEMENTIA :
As such no proper prevention method has been found to fully cure Dementia. However, some medications have been found to reduce some symptoms. Lot of research is going on helping patients to live a normal life using Brain Computer Interface applications.
